Adhesive films are used to securely seal microplates during PCR assays, as well as during the storage and transport of samples. They are manufactured under sterile conditions and tested for the absence of DNase and RNase. The films adhere evenly to both the edges of the microplates and the edges of the wells. They are suitable for use with both aqueous solutions and organic solvents (DMSO, acetonitrile, methanol, etc.). Features of the sealing film for 96-well PCR plates: • Made of 50-micrometer-thick polyolefin; • Perforated “tabs” are applied to the film for easy removal; • The adhesive is applied to the film in special microcapsules, resulting in minimal adhesion at room temperature. This prevents the film from sticking to the skin or gloves during use; • The adhesive’s strong bonding properties are activated only after the film is pressed firmly against the test strip for an extended period or when exposed to heat during PCR testing; • The adhesive coating, which is free of streaks, ensures high optical transparency of the film, making it ideal for PCR with end-point detection, quantitative real-time PCR assays, and other fluorescent analytical methods; • Sample evaporation is minimized through the use of an adhesive with enhanced sealing properties; • Since the film does not deform at high temperatures, cross-contamination of samples is prevented; • Suitable for sealing deep-well plates during sample storage. • Ideal for storing samples at low temperatures (-70 °C).
